Childhood romances are so cute. There is no any complicated feelings just cuteness and first impressions. They teach you a thing or two which can be helpful during our adolescence. So I have compiled a list of most popular and loved childhood romance movies ever. SPOILER ALERT : Cuteness Overloaded!!

Jesse ‘Jess’ Aarons (Josh Hutcherson), a 12 year old artist, neglected by his parents meet next door neighbor Leslie​ Burke (AnnaSophia Robb) and become friends. They found an abandoned tree house in the woods and named​ it Terabithia, their own fantasy world. But Leslie dies and Jess finds it difficult to accept it. He invites his  sister May Belle to Terabithia and both lived as King Jess And Princess May Belle.

Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) moves to China with his mother, however he finds difficulty to adapt to his new environment. He meets Meiying (Wenwen Han) in a park and develops a crush but is bullied by Meigying’s friend, Cheng who tried to keep them apart. Cheng is a  trained kung fu fighter and beats up Dre. Dre befriends his local maintenance man Mr Han (Jackie Chan) who is also a kung fu expert and teaches Dre the true art of Kung fu. Dre goes on to participate in the open kung fu tournament and wins the tournament beating Cheng.

Alfalfa (Bug Hall) is a member of ‘He-Man Women Hater Club’ that despise women and forms a pact to never get any closer to women. But things change when Alfalfa falls for Darla (Brittany Ashton Holmes) and woes her secretly from his friends. When they found out they try every attempt to sabotage their relationship.

#7. LET ME IN (2010)

Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee), a 12 year old young bullied boy befriends a young Vampire Abby (Chloe Grace Moretz). Abby becomes his girlfriend and later revealed she is a vampire. Owen is bullied in his class and he retaliates​ by attacking. They look for revenge and force him underwater, while he is underwater torn limbs are seen sinking into the water. Nasty ones! He emerges from the water and saw Abby. Abby and Owen leaves town with Owen carrying Abby inside a large trunk.

When two second-graders Bryce Loski (Callan McAuliffe) and Julianna ‘Juli’ Maryellen Baker (Madeline Caroll) meet, Juli knew it was love at first sight. But Bryce avoids her and start dating Sherry Stalls. Juli adores the Sycamore tree near her house but is cut down. When Bryce embarrass Juli by awkwardly kissing her to make Sherry jealous, Bryce plants a baby Sycamore tree in front of Juli’s yard and asks her for forgiveness.

13 year old, Lauren King (Diane Lane) is a smart American girl living in Paris with her  family. Daniel Michon (Thelonious Bernard), a 13 year old French boy, who loves Hollywood films lives with his father. The two meet in a movie theater and falls in love. Lauren’s​ mother is strongly against their love calling Daniel ‘poor and filthy’. They meet Julius Santorin (Laurence Olivier) who helps them to elope​ to Venice, where legends says if two lovers kiss on a Gondola beneath the Bridge of Sighs, they become lovers forever. They elope to Venice and kiss on a Gondola. Soon it’s time for Lauren to return to America. They bid their farewells and kiss for the last time.

Gabe (Josh Hutcherson), a 10 year old boy living in Manhattan meet 11 year old Rosemary (Charlie Ray) in a self-defense class and falls for her, his first love. Gabe’s parents are getting divorced which leaves Gabe frustrated. Both become friends and hang out. Gabe becomes jealous of Rosemary’s​ new partner, Tim Staples. In order to impress her, he fractures his hand. His father advise him to, ‘Don’t hide your feelings​, express it before it’s too late’. Gabe runs to Rosemary​ and tell her about his feelings, which Rosemary surprised tells Gabe she is not ready yet. Upset Gabe returns home to find his parents laughing and happy again.

Shizuku Tsukisuma, a 14 year old girl who loves reading and writing befriends Shiro Nishi, who runs an antique shop. Shizuku finds out Seiji Amasawa is the grandson of Nishi who checked her library books before and become friends. Seiji leaves for Cremona to learn violin. Shizuku asks Nishi if she can write about The Baron, which Nishi agrees only on one condition, he gets to read it first. She finishes the story and Nishi tells her a story about his love, after reading her story. Seiji returns from Cremona and proposes Shizuku and ask her to marry him which Shizuku happily accepts.

  • Cast : Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Liam Neeson, Tomoko Yamaguchi

Sosuko, a 5 year old boy rescues Brunhilde, a goldfish princess. Sosuko names her Ponya, she desires to be a human after falling in love with Sosuko. With her magic she transforms herself into a human but she has to pay the price for using her magic.

Sam Shakusky, a 12 year old orphan and Suzi Bishop, living in New Penzance, New England meet in a Church performance. They become friends and eventually lovers and run away to Moonrise Kingdom, a safe haven for them. They were caught and brought back. They run again, despite the violent hurricane which made their parents to form a search party to find them.
