Highly Anticipated Movies to Watch this November!
Can you believe it’s almost 2018!! Oh my God, just two, wait two-ish months for the new year.. I’m so pysched. So we have an eye worthy list of movies too this month. Superheroes, mystery thrillers, comedy you name it. Let’s get started.
#1. THOR : RAGNAROK
Genre : Superhero/Action/Sequel
Director : Taika Waititi
We are back again with another Marvel Studios movie, highly anticipated movie of the month. A sequel to 2013, Thor : The Dark World, the movie starts off with the events of Avengers : Age of Ultron. Chris Hemsworth, back in the role as God of Thunder, Thor who is imprisoned somewhere on the other side of the Universe without his mighty Hammer. When another ruthless villain, Hella (Cate Blanchett) is threatening to destroy Asgrad, Thor has to get back to Asgrad to save his home but not before he is pit against his former allies and former Avenger, The Hulk. It’s going to be an epic otherworldly superhero action movie. I can already feel you guys running to the theaters.
#2. ROMAN J. ISRAEL, ESQ

Director : Dan Gilroy
A legal thriller film starring Dennzel Washington and Collin Farrell, where Roman J. Israel (Denzel Washington) is a humble and liberal lawyer who fights good against evil. He is offered his mentor’s job after the demise of his mentor, Henry Jackson. Roman discovers unsettling things at the law firm and the firm’s true causes. His life is soon turned around when he is given a case of a young man accused of murder.
#3. BLADE OF THE IMMORTAL
Genre : Action/Drama
Director : Takashi Miike
Criminal, Samurai Manji who is imprisoned in a feudal Japan after being cursed immortality until he kills enough evil people. He meets a young girl whose family is slaughtered by a group sword fighters. He sworn to protect her and avenge her family’s death. This is infact Legendary Takashi Miike’s 100th directional film.
#4. LAST FLAG FLYING
Genre : Adaptation/Sequel
Director : Richard Linklater
The movie is based on the book, Last Flag Flying by Darryl Ponicsan published in 2005. It is a sequel to the 1973 film, The Last Detail, starring Jack Nicholson. The movie is set during the Iraq war, where war veterans Steve Carell, Lauren Fishbourne and Bryan Cranston set on a journey to Iraq to bring Carell’s dead soldier son home to New Hampshire. Along the journey, they remisnish their memories during war and the life back home.
#5. LADY BIRD
Genre : Drama/Coming of age
In this actress-turned-directional debut of Greta Gerwig, Lady Bird is a movie of coming of age drama, portraying the intense bond of a mother and her daughter. Set in the Sacramento, 2002 Christine ‘Lady Bird’ McPherson (Saoirse Ronan) and her mother (Laurie Metcalf), a nurse fights against the world and situations to keep themselves up after her father (Tracy Letts) loses his job.

LBJ, a epic biopic movie of Senator Leader Lyndon Jackson. Woody Harrelson, plays powerful Senator Lyndon Jackson who loses to John F. Kennedy (Jeffrey Donovan) in the 1960 Democratic Presidential Election. However being powerful and hugely popular he feels sidelined as Vice President after Kennedy wins the presidential election. But on the historical date of November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy is assassinated and Jackson is trusted with the duties of the President. With tremendous pressure, Jackson along with his devoted wife Lady Bird, (Jennifer Jason Leigh) and his mentor Georgia Sen and Adversary attorney General Bobby Kennedy, (Michael Stahl-David) Jackson leds the country forward.
#7. MY FRIEND DAHMER
Genre : Crime/Drama

My friend Dahmer, is a disturbing crime drama based on the critically acclaimed 2012 graphic novel by Backderf. Jeffrey Dahmer, is an infamous serial killer of American History who killed 17 men and boys. This movie follows the awkward teenage years of Dahmer (Ross Lynch), who struggles to keep it together between his tumultuous high school and his troubled family. He makes unexpected friends at his school forming a nerd band, The Dahmer Fan Club, headed by Derf Backderf (Alex Wolff). Towards his graduation, his strange behavior becomes his identity, his nature pushing him to become history’s most dangerous serial killer.
#8. MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS

Director : Kenneth Branagh
The film is a remake of 1970 flick by the same name, based on the best selling novel by Agatha Christie. A tale of a luxurious train journey through Europe, with thirteen strangers is turned into a terrifying and ugly journey when a murder occurs. Everyone becomes a suspect and a brave one has to race against time to solve the mystery and find the killer before he strikes again. The film stars the director himself, Kenneth Branagh, Leslie Odum Jr. , Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Riddley, Michael Pena and Judi Dench. We hope the remake give us the same magic and mysterious aura as the original.
#9. DADDY’S HOME 2

A sequel to 2015 film, Daddy’s Home, the film has a major A-list casting, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, Will Farrell and Johm Lithgow all starring in this epic comedy. The film follows when Father and Stepfather, Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Farrell) forms a truce to make the children the perfect Christmas holiday. Their new partnership is put to test when Dusty’s badass father (Mel Gibson) and Brad’s overly emotional father (John Lithgow) visit them.
#10. THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI

Director : Martin McDonagh
A single mother Mildred Hayes (Frances McDormand), is devastated when her murdered daughter is denied the justice who was raped and brutally murdered. She makes a bold move by putting three billboards on the way to their town, with message directed to chief of the police department, William Willoughby (Woody Harrelson) when he is unable to find the culprit who is free. The film also stars Sam Rockwell, Abbie Cornish, Peter Dinklage and John Hawkes.

A Norwegian film, directed by critically acclaimed director Joachim Trier. A young girl, on her first year in college falls in love but suffers from extreme seizures which cannot be explained, she later learns that her unexplainable behavior is of supernatural, that she has supernatural abilities. The film stars Elli Harboe, Okay Kaya, Henrik Rafaelsen and Ellen Dorrit Petersen.

When an employee, Derek Cho (Steven Yeun) is fired from his job, he discovers his office building is under quarantine for a mysterious virus. Soon the virus spreads affecting the people of the building who starts behaving strangely. In an effort to save his life, he teams up with a client, Samara Weaving to get to the top floors to get answers from his superiors.
#13. Justice League

A DC Comic film, with perhaps the superheroes of the planet, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman it will be an epic superhero film. The film follows up the events of Batman V Superman. Batman (Ben Affleck) still hopes the world can be a better place after his epic showdown with Superman (Henry Cavill). He along with Wonder woman (Gal Gadot) assembles a team of metahumans, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash to fight another world threat that has the potential to destroy the planet. The film also stars Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and J.K Simmons.

A moving film adapted from the best selling children’s beloved book written by R.J Palacio. August Pullman (Jacob Tremblay) a young boy borned with facial deformaties has never been to an actual school. He starts his 5th grade at Beecher Prep, a mainstream school. It’s going to be hard for him, a new kid at school with deformity. Will he be able to make friends despite his appearance at his new school? The film also stars Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Mandy Patinkin.
#15. I LOVE YOU DADDY

This comedy film mainly revolves around the lives of a successful tv producer and writer, Louis C.K and his daughter (Chloe Moretz). Louis is divorced and his daughter lives with him. As she is stepping into her adulthood, he becomes more protective of her and gears up his parenting. The film also stars John Malkovich, Helen Hunt, Rose Byrne and George Aloi.
#16. SWEET VIRGINIA

The film’s main plot is about a former rodeo worker, Jon Bernthal who owns a motel but has a dark past starts a friendship with a young man, a hitman (Christopher Abbott) who may be the one suspected to be involved in the recent violent incidents terrorizing their small town.

A young Mexican boy, Miguel (Anthony Gonzales) dreams of becoming a successful musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt) despite his generation old family ban on music. He ventures out and finds himself in Land of the Dead, where he befriends trickster Hector (Gael Garcie Bernal) and set on a beautiful journey to find out the real reason behind his family’s dislike towards music.

The film follows a high school student, Bird Fitcher, who is a bit loner finds an old Polaroid camera that contains a dark secret. Soon she realized that whoever takes a picture on the Polaroid will have a tragic end.
#19. DARKEST HOUR

Director : Joe Wright
From the Director of Atonement, Darkest hour is an epic drama war film following the life of Winston Churchill played by Gary Oldman is already creating buzz for his role. The film takes us to Great Britain, where newly elected Prime Minister of Great Britain, Winston Churchill faces several struggles when the Nazi forces marchs towards their nation. Winston is torned between signing a peace treaty with the Nazi Germany or go on war against them for the freedom of his nation. In the darkest hours of his life Winston Churchill has to stand strong though his own party is plotting against him.
#20. CALL ME BY YOUR NAME

Director : Luca Guadagnino
In this beautiful, heart warming film, A young boy, Elio (Timothee Chalamet) meets another young handsome man, Oliver (Armie Hammer) while vacationing with his family in a 17th century villa in Italy. Together they explore their love life and desires that will change their lives forever.
